Plans to build a four-storey, 92-bed hotel in Kirkwall have been submitted to Orkney Islands Council.

A four-storey hotel could be built in Kirkwall’s town centre, if ambitious new proposals are granted planning consent. The application from Orkney Builders (Contractors) Ltd looks to transform the former Jewson’s Yard on Junction Road into a 92-bed building. BRACEWELL and Orkney Builders (Contractors) Ltd have submitted a planning application for a new 92-bed hotel in Orkney. The site, on Kirkwall’s Junction Road, was previously a Jewsons Yard and sits in a mixed-use development on reclaimed land at the north west edge of the town’s conservation area.
