Pigue sues Ionia County
A former Ionia County department head has filed a federal lawsuit alleging she was fired for raising concerns about financial mismanagement, claiming retaliation, age discrimination and violations of state law. Linda Pigue, who is now 76, was fired as the county’s Road Department director on Dec. 19, 2025, with county Administrator Chad Shaw citing “a loss of faith in leadership.”
