Forty-two flights were cancelled and dozens delayed as security concerns deepened, leaving thousands of Umrah pilgrims and other travelers uncertain, officials said.
- Pakistan International Airlines suspended flights to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Friday following escalating Houthi missile and drone attacks in the Gulf region.
- Houthi forces claimed responsibility for launching cruise missiles at King Khalid International Airport and Abha International Airport on Wednesday and Thursday, killing three people and injuring 36.
- Escalating regional tensions caused 42 flight cancellations on Friday, affecting thousands of Umrah pilgrims; Philippine Airlines, Lufthansa Group, EgyptAir, IndiGo, and Air India also suspended services to Riyadh.
- PIA flight PK-753 from Islamabad to Riyadh and flight PK-754 from Riyadh to Islamabad were cancelled; PIA spokesperson Abdullah Hafiz Khan advised passengers to contact 111-786-786 before traveling.
- The Saudi-led coalition reported intercepting multiple ballistic missiles launched toward Riyadh and Khamis Mushait, as the Houthis continue targeting Saudi infrastructure citing Riyadh's support for Yemen's civil war.
