A total of 131 Kalayaan Island Group (KIG) features will have local names as President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. issued Executive Order No. 111, which aims to strengthen government control and sovereignty in Palawan and the West Philippine Sea (WPS).
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has ordered the giving of Filipino names to more than 100 islands, reefs, and other sea features in the Kalayaan Island Group (KIG).
