Tai Baribo rallies Union from two-goal deficit to extend Galaxy’s misery
- The Philadelphia Union rallied from a two-goal deficit to defeat the LA Galaxy 3-2 on Wednesday night at Subaru Park.
- The Galaxy took a 2-0 lead with goals by Mauricio Cuevas in the 31st minute and Diego Fagndez in the 37th minute before the Union responded.
- The Union tied the match with Jacob Glesnes’s 48th-minute header and Tai Baribo’s 50th-minute goal, who then scored the winner in sixth minute of stoppage time.
- Baribo scored his 10th goal of the season, leading MLS scoring, while the Galaxy extended their worst-ever start for a defending champion to 0-10-3.
- The Union improved to 8-3-3 and moved back into second place in the Eastern Conference, while the Galaxy remained the only winless team in MLS.
