Phase two of U.S. Highway 176 improvements partially funded through BUILD grant

A federal BUILD grant of $22.5 million will cover about 40% of construction for phase two of U.S. Highway 176, part of a project estimated at $70 million. County officials and the OCST team, working with consulting firm HTNB, say the funding will help address safety and support rapid growth; construction is slated to start in the third quarter of 2028 with completion expected in early 2031.
