PG&E brings new substation online in Monterey Peninsula

MONTEREY, Calif. (KION) - PG&E has flipped the switch on the Del Monte substation to boost power on the Monterey Peninsula. It will serve Monterey, Seaside, Del Rey Oaks, Sand City, and nearby unincorporated areas. PG&E says this should stop the larger and longer outages that customers may have experienced over the past several months.
