After 24 days Petroecuador resumed the night of this July 25 the pumping of crude oil through the Trans-Ecuadorian Pipeline System (SOTE), after completing the construction of a bypass in the area of the Loco River, in the province of Napo.
The work, of almost one kil metre, was built to protect the pipeline infrastructure against the advance of the erosion of the r or Coca. Losses due to paralysing exceeded USD 100 million.
