The Abraham Accords signed during US President Donald Trump's first term should be expanded to guarantee long-term peace in the Middle East, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said in New York today.
Ahead of the UN Security Council's open debate on the situation in the Middle East, the Minister highlighted that the US president, in his first term, brought the Abraham Accords under control, within the framework of which Israel normalized its relations with several Arab countries after decades of unsuccessful peace efforts.
The Abraham Accords, concluded during the previous term of the US president, would need to be expanded for the long-term peace of the region, said Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in New York on Wednesday.
