Bat tests positive for rabies in Oak Lawn
A bat tested positive for rabies in Oak Lawn, Cook County officials announced Thursday. The bat was found in the 9800 block of South Pulaski Road, officials said. Pet owners are encouraged to stay up to date on vaccinations. Cook County Animal and Rabies Control is hosting free rabies and microchips clinics through October to keep pets protected.
