Arrest Made After Two Small Fires Near Bend Park

A 45-year-old Bend woman was jailed after allegedly setting two small fires in the area of Sawyer Park in Bend. According to Bend Police, at approximately 11:10 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, officers responded to a brush fire in the area of Sawyer Park. Two small fires were intentionally set near Sawyer Park on the Deschutes River Saturday night. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blazes, and police took one person into custody.
