Peoria Area Food Pantry opens to serve families in need

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- The Peoria Area Food Pantry has officially reopened, marking its transition from a food bank to a direct-serve pantry. The change allows the organization to work more closely with families and individuals facing food insecurity in the community. On opening day, nearly 40 households were served.
