Hypersonic weapons have long ceased to be experimental technology, but now the US is taking the next step of trying to turn them into mass weapons. In September, the U.S. Air Force announced a search for the concepts of an inexpensive 925-km hypersonic missile with a range that could be purchased in large quantities, while China is already using the DF-17 hypersonic planetarium.
