The Liberal Democratic Party, Komeito and the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan are expected to agree to revise pension reform-related bills soon, according to sources.

The Liberal Democratic Party has decided to accept the request for amendments from the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan (CDP) regarding the pension system reform bill, whose submission to the Diet has been significantly delayed. A senior LDP official revealed this on the 23rd. The CDP had demanded that the bill specify the future implementation of the basic pension (national pension) increase, which the government had postponed.
