- PennDOT Secretary Mike Carroll stated the annual survey helps the agency "review perceptions and knowledge of our operations," while identifying opportunities to improve winter maintenance and road safety communication.
- Completing the survey takes about five minutes, allowing participants to share expectations for safe roads and indicate whether they use the 511PA traveler information service. Responses remain anonymous.
- Travelers can access 511PA 24 hours a day via website, smartphone app, or by calling 5-1-1, receiving traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras.
- Residents can also subscribe to PennDOT news updates or monitor planned construction projects through the department's website and follow the agency on X, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
