Penn State Health patients take on the slopes at Adaptive Ski Day

For nine Penn State Health rehabilitation patients recovering from traumatic injuries – including spinal cord injury and amputation – Feb. 6 offered a different kind of therapy. Adaptive Ski Day at Whitetail Resort in Mercersburg, Pa., brought them to the slopes for a full day of skiing and snowboarding using specialized adaptive equipment, surrounded by cheers from family, friends and care teams.
