In his speech at the celebrations of the 82nd anniversary of the Carpathian-Dukla Operation, Slovak President Peter Pellegrini pointed out that increasing armaments and escalating various provocations is not the way to ease tensions, but to further escalate them.

At the Dukla celebrations, Pellegrini compared the tense atmosphere between NATO and Russia to the times before major wars and appealed for Europe to once again focus on diplomacy and peace.
