In August 1945, D.C. Almond, Carl Palmer and Carl Palmer Jr. purchased the 19Taxi Station and renamed it Yellow Top Cabs. On Jan. 17, 1947, ads for Palmer’s Taxi, located on East Main Street, begin to appear in the local paper. The 1947 City Directory confirms that Carl Palmer and his son were the operators of this business.
