Man Fatally Struck by Train in Chilliwack
Paramedics confirmed the pedestrian died after the collision, and RCMP are seeking witnesses to help determine what happened.
A man died after being struck by a train in Chilliwack, British Columbia, on Friday evening, with RCMP receiving reports of the collision at approximately 9:45 p.m.
Police discovered the pedestrian underneath the Yale Road overpass when they arrived on scene. Paramedics with British Columbia Emergency Health Services attended and confirmed the man was deceased.
Chilliwack RCMP have launched an investigation into the collision and are appealing for witnesses who were in the area at the time of the incident to come forward.
Officers are requesting that anyone with relevant information call police at 604-762-4611 to assist with the ongoing inquiry into the fatal incident.
