Pedestrian hit, killed in Marion County, highway patrol says
MARION COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- A person was hit and killed early Friday morning on Highway 41 in Marion County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. It happened at about 1:30 a.m. near Smith Millpond Road when a 2008 Chevrolet SUV traveling south on Highway 41 hit the person while they were in the roadway, SCHP Cpl. Nick Pye. Pedestrian Struck And Killed In Marion Co.
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Marion County. Around 1:30am Friday, a Chevy SUV was traveling south on Highway 41 when it struck a pedestrian that was standing in the road near Smith Mill Pond Road. The pedestrian did not survive the injuries they sustained. Their identity has not been publicly released. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
