A man from Foss was killed in an accident on I-40 near Canute on Saturday, July 19, 2025. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol report states that at 2:10 a.m., a 911 call came in about a person lying in the eastbound lane of I-40, approximately 2 miles west of Canute, OK in Washita County.
