OAK ISLAND, NC (WWAY) — The Town of Oak Island said a pedestrian was hit and killed in a single vehicle accident Monday morning. In a public notice, the town said as of 8:45 a.m. the area of East Oak Island Drive between NE 31th and NE 32nd Streets will be closed while the investigation continues. The town is asking drivers in the area to go slowly, remain alert and follow instructions from traffic officers onsite. We’ll provide more information…
