JONES COUNTY – A Sandersville man died after being struck by a semi-truck Monday morning on Interstate 59 in Jones County. The Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to the crash around 7:23 a.m. July 20. Investigators said a 2000 Peterbilt semi-truck driven by Michael Wayne Myrick, 66, of Heidelberg, was traveling south on I-59 when it struck a pedestrian walking south along the interstate.
