Czech president visits Wilbur, Nebraska to strengthen historic ties
Nearly 5,000 miles from the capital of the Czech Republic, the country's president, Petr Pavel, surveyed shop shelves brimming with items one might find near Prague Castle. Pavel, who was in the country for the UN General Assembly, said the relationship between Nebraska and the Czech Republic is unique and looked for ways to grow the historic bond, visiting with Gov. Jim Pillen, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and business leaders.
