Police cannot yet provide any further information about the fatal house fire in Roermond, in which a 16-year-old boy and his 51-year-old mother were killed on Tuesday. A 14-year-old boy was seriously injured.
Paul Steijven heard two explosions and rushed to the scene of the fire in the house next door on Plutolaan in Roermond. His rescue attempt came too late for the 16-year-old victim.
