Patrick Stewart Won't Retire From Acting
Stewart says he still wants new acting challenges after a joyful Picard farewell and says he cannot imagine officially retiring.
- In a recent interview with TV Insider, 85-year-old Sir Patrick Stewart dismissed retirement rumors, stating, "I can't imagine ever officially 'retiring.' I'll always and forever be an actor."
- Speaking on Star Trek's 60th anniversary and The Next Generation's 40th, Stewart reflected on his sci-fi legacy. "All of these anniversaries are wildly surreal for me," he said.
- Although Stewart initially resisted a The Next Generation reunion, he embraced the full cast return in Picard Season 3. He described it as "an absolutely joyous and satisfying experience."
- Beyond Avengers: Doomsday arriving December 18, 2026, Stewart continues pursuing diverse projects, including a voice role in Riz Ahmed's series Bait. He described the role as "voicing a pig's head."
