She was born on Oct. 16, 1927, at her grandparents’ home in Abilene, Kan., to Lott and Maude (Davis) Gean. After a fateful blind date in 1945 where Patty met Robert F. ‘Bob’ Fairbanks, the two married on June 18, 1947, in Dodge City, Kan. He passed on July 5, 1988
