On May 24, Bulgaria celebrates the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture, and Slavic Literature. The holiday is solemnly celebrated throughout the country. It was declared by the Law on Amendments to the Labor Code, adopted by the 9th National Assembly on March 30, 1990.
