After a fatal accident a year ago the wave was closed. After that it disappeared as a result of the cleaning of the stream. Now it is back again, the city of Munich allows wave riding with new rules
The famous Eisbachwelle in Munich is back. After a long wait, Lord Mayor Dominik Krause officially released the wave again and the surfer community is thrilled.
It was made inaccessible after the death of a surfer last year, before the cleaning work that had made it disappear. Located in the heart of Munich, the wave of the Eisbach is again surfable.
The Bavarian surfer's paradise collapses with Bach's departure in October last year: the Eisbachwelle in the English Garden in Munich disappears. The natural phenomenon returns with various artifacts and can now be used legally again.
