Josep Lluís Trapero resigned this Wednesday as general director of the Catalan Police after two years in office. At a press conference, the Generalitat’s interior councillor, Núria Parlon, said she would have liked him to continue because “it is necessary to highlight the good work he has done.” Commissioner Ferran López will be the new general director and Commissioner Sílvia Catà, the new head of the Mossos d’Esquadra.
