In 2022, the author of the killing of the street of Enghien in Paris will be tried for murders and attempted murders on the grounds of race, as well as for various offences on arms.
On Tuesday, investigating judges ordered the dismissal of William Malet, who admitted to having killed three Kurds in December 2022 in Paris. The terrorist characterization was ruled out, to the great damnation of the civilian parties.
William Malet, a 72-year-old ex-path who admitted that he had killed three Kurds in Paris at the end of 2022, will be sent back to the assizes for racist but not terrorist assassinations, said the prosecution on Wednesday 23 July. The civilian parties "surprised of the absence of a terrorist qualification", according to one of their lawyers.

In 2022, William Malet had shot and killed three people from the Kurdish community in Paris, rue d'Enghein. The seven-year-old had explained his gesture by his "pathological hatred" of foreigners.
William Malet had sown terror in the 10th arrondissement of Paris by killing three people of Kurdish origin on 23 December 2022. According to BFMTV, on 22 July, three investigating judges asked for his removal to a sitting court.
