A group of parents of children with autism organized a meeting in front of the Government of Serbia to point out the pressing problems they have been facing for years. The same gatherings were also held in Niš, Kragujevac and Novi Sad.

Families of children with autism have pointed out that lack of information, uncertainty about treatment and the impact on daily life are the main difficulties they face in the process of diagnosis and care.

According to unofficial information, there are between five and six thousand children diagnosed on the autism spectrum, psychologist Slavica Raičević said.
