- Earlier this year, reports claimed Hardy was fired following friction with screenwriter Jez Butterworth and producer David Glasser. The trio held a meeting in London to resolve creative differences, ultimately securing the star's return.
- Season 2 premieres on September 18, with episodes releasing weekly. The logline states the Harrigan family will "struggle to show a unified front as rising rivals threaten their fractured criminal empire" amid intensifying internal tensions.
- Executive producers including director Guy Ritchie and Glasser worked to ensure Hardy's return. The series, produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, features an expansive cast including Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, and Lara Pulver.
