Paramount+ streaming service executives have begun discussions with writers about a future series set in the Star Trek universe. The service is exploring a new direction for the franchise in collaboration with CBS Studios, Paramount+ head of original content Jane Wiseman told Deadline. Jane Wiseman of Paramount+ is offering hope for new Star Trek content, even though no series are currently in production. With Chris Parnell, a big fan, on board, future plans are being developed. Surprisingly, despite the dismantling of sets and props, Wiseman sees the franchise remaining firmly rooted at Paramount+. The streaming offerings here in Germany demonstrate that Star Trek still has a strong presence.
