Paraguay and Panama Promote Regional Dialogue for Democratic Transition in Venezuela · Global Voices
The governments of Paraguay and Panama announced Monday a joint initiative to open a channel of dialogue with leaders of the region in favor of a democratic transition in Venezuela, in a context of intense versions and public crossings about the international efforts after the capture of Nicolás Maduro.]]>
From this rapprochement, the Foreign Ministers of Panama and Paraguay initiated the coordination of a virtual conversation between the presidents of the region who are willing to participate in this dialogue.
"The President of the Republic, José Raúl Mulino, today held a telephone conversation with his counterpart from Paraguay, Santiago Peña, in which they agreed that it is necessary to conduct, in the short term, a conversation among the leaders of the region about a democratic transition in Venezuela," said the Panamanian Presidency.
