At around 1:25 pm on the 3rd, a witness called 118 to report that a paraglider had fallen, was not moving, and was floating off the coast of Azama Sansan Beach in Chinen Azama, Nanjo City, Okinawa Prefecture. According to the Nakagusuku Coast Guard, a man in his 40s and a woman in her 20s were rushed to the hospital in cardiac arrest just after 2 pm.
