- On Sunday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and a Saudi delegation agreed to increase Pakistan's agricultural and food exports to Saudi Arabia to $3 billion within two years, deepening bilateral food security cooperation.
- Led by Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng Abdulrahman, the Saudi delegation visited Islamabad from August 26 to 28, reviewing Pakistan's agricultural export potential against Saudi Vision 2030 priorities.
- The sides reviewed annual exports of around 30,000 tonnes of red meat worth approximately $167 million and about 169,000 tonnes of rice valued at $163 million, while discussing water-efficient irrigation projects in Bhakkar, Punjab.
- Pakistan was invited to the 43rd Saudi Agriculture Exhibition in Riyadh from October 19 to 22, as officials agreed to facilitate business linkages and mutual recognition of quality certifications to boost trade.
- Following the talks, the Saudi delegation visited the National Agricultural Research Centre and met with the Special Investment Facilitation Council, committing to translate these agreements into practical cooperation projects.
