Pakistan Navy Seizes Narcotics Worth $750m in Major Arabian Sea Operation
The ships intercepted a suspicious boat on routine patrol and found narcotics hidden in concealed compartments, the navy said.
- On Saturday, Pakistan Navy ships PNS Hunain and PNS Yarmook seized more than 2,800 kg of narcotics in the Arabian Sea, valued at approximately $750 million.
- According to the Inter-Services Public Relations , the ships were conducting a routine patrol when they intercepted a suspicious boat, recovering narcotics from "concealed compartments" during a boarding operation.
- Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf commended the officers and crew for their "professionalism and vigilance," reaffirming the Navy's commitment to maritime security and combating illicit trafficking at sea.
- Earlier on Wednesday, the Navy and Pakistan Coast Guard confiscated a sizeable quantity of liquor and illegal medicines in the Pishukan area of Balochistan, based on "actionable intelligence."
- These maritime efforts coincide with intensified security operations in Balochistan, where forces have eliminated 22 militants in Operation Shaban and targeted threats across the region.
