Peshawar to Host Pak-Afghan Peace Jirga

- Tribal elders, religious scholars, media representatives, and political leaders will attend the forum to discuss sustainable peace. Organizers extended invitations to political figures who previously engaged in Pak-Afghan peace efforts.
- Khan noted that Pakistan has hosted Afghan refugees for over four decades, expressing concern that generations would face significant challenges if forced to return to Afghanistan prematurely.
- A joint declaration will be issued at the jirga's conclusion for both governments to consider. Similar forums are scheduled in Quetta and other regions following the Peshawar event to broaden stakeholder participation.
