Packers' Offensive Line Shuffle Continues with Banks and Monk Getting Ruled Out for Buccaneers Game
Green Bay added Kevin Zeitler and Laken Tomlinson after Aaron Banks and Jacob Monk were ruled out because of injuries, officials said.
- On Friday, the Green Bay Packers ruled out guards Aaron Banks and Jacob Monk for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay after adding veteran guards Kevin Zeitler and Laken Tomlinson to their 53-man roster.
- Green Bay's guard situation has been a major problem through the Packers' first three games, with the team ranking last in the NFL at 48.7 rushing yards per game. Banks is dealing with knee and toe injuries, while Monk has a quadriceps issue; neither practiced all week.
- Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich worked with veteran linemen Kevin Zeitler and practice squad addition Mekhi Becton during Wednesday practice in Green Bay, Wis., preparing the reinforcements for the depleted offensive line.
- Rookie Jager Burton, who started in Banks' place during the Packers' 35-14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, is questionable for Sunday with a groin issue. Tampa Bay ruled out quarterback Baker Mayfield, replaced by rookie Jalon Daniels.
- Tampa Bay also ruled out cornerback Benjamin Morrison, outside linebacker Rueben Bain, and tight end Ko Kieft for Sunday, while the Packers additionally ruled out defensive tackles Warren Brinson and Anthony Campbell.
