Pacific Steel & Recycling Trailside Dog Park temporarily closes for repairs

The Trailside Dog Park, sponsored by Pacific Steel & Recycling in Great Falls, will be closed from May 27 to June 16, 2025, to allow for its annual turf maintenance.
The closure results from water and tear damage caused by heavy use that requires turf maintenance to restore its condition.
While closed, the park will receive nutrient treatment, new grass seeding, and watering to restore and improve the lawn’s condition.
The dog park, opened in July 2009, has been a popular location for dog owners, and residents can contact Parks Manager Kevin Vining at 406-771-1265 for more information.
The City of Great Falls values public patience during the brief closure and expects the repair work to improve park conditions upon reopening.
