Crystal Pier to reopen for first time since 2023 storm damage

SAN DIEGO – The Crystal pier in Pacific Beach will reopen on Monday, the city of San Diego announced on Thursday. The structure, almost 100 years old, was damaged by several storms, which caused the closure of the public part of the pier in December 2023. The city says that the main repairs have been completed and that the pier has been considered structurally safe.
