Areas in Lycoming County were placed under mandatory evacuation orders overnight due to flash flooding and mudslides.The National Weather Service in State College reported 4 to 6 inches of rain fell from a cluster of slow-moving storms over a five-hour period late Sunday in the area of the Lycoming-Sullivan County line.

State College, Pa. — The National Weather Service says Intense rain rates in slower-moving thunderstorms will enhance the flash flood risk this afternoon and evening across portions of central PA.
