- The project results from a partnership between Hyperreal and Proto Hologram, utilizing patented Digital DNA technology to create interactive avatars displayed within Proto Luma units.
- Hyperreal CEO Remington Scott described the creation as a "living performance" built from authenticated, approved source material with the enthusiastic participation of Ozzy's family.
- Starting in late summer 2026, The Ozzy will inhabit life-sized, interactive Proto Luma units across the U.S. and U.K., allowing fans to converse with the avatar as Ozzy would respond.
