A group of regional entrepreneurs has been granted permission to operate the loss-making Twente Airport. The Overijssel provincial government has approved the leasing of the regional airport north of Enschede. The province, together with the municipality of Enschede, owns Twente Airport, which suffers a structural loss of nearly half a million euros per year.
