Consumers Report Finding Glass in Outshine Fruit Bars, Company Issues Recall
Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream says no illnesses have been reported and advises customers to return affected 6-count and 24-count boxes for a refund.
- Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream issued a voluntary recall for select Outshine Fruit Bars nationwide yesterday following consumer reports of glass found in the products, taking action out of an abundance of caution.
- The recall affects 6-count and 24-count 2.5-ounce bars of Outshine Strawberry, Watermelon, Grape, Tangerine, and Black Cherry flavors with best before dates ranging between May 31, 2027, and Nov. 30, 2027.
- "No illnesses or injuries have been reported to date," the Food and Drug Administration said, advising consumers to dispose of affected products or return them to stores for a full refund.
- According to Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, Inc., no other Outshine products are impacted by the recall, and consumers with questions can contact Customer Service at 800-392-4885, available Monday thru Friday from 8am to 5pm EST.
