Shell Netherlands Boss: Smart if Government Gets Groningen Gas Field

It would be wise for the government to take over the license for the Groningen field from the Dutch Petroleum Company (NAM). The outgoing President and CEO of Shell Netherlands, Frans Everts, said this on Wednesday in the radio program Sven op 1. The gas field is closed, but in an emergency, The Hague could thereby decide to restart gas extraction.
