Outages leave over 15,000 without power in South Lake, closing 3 schools

UPDATE—Thursday, 7:15 a.m. SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Liberty Utilities reports that as of 6:45 a.m., there are approximately 15,500 customers in the South Tahoe area without power. The outages have caused the Tahoe Valley, Meyers, and Sierra House Elementary Schools to close for the day.
