Sweden is taking out a loan worth 300 billion kronor.
All parties in parliament agree on an upgrade of the defense, they announced at a press conference. 300 billion kronor will be spent on defense in the coming years. – Our children and grandchildren should not have to learn to speak Russian, says Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson.
Sweden is the youngest NATO member. Especially with regard to Russia and the Ukraine war, the small country is now planning large defence expenditures.
For the first time in Sweden ' s history, much of the growth will be financed by temporary public borrowing.


All parties in the Stockholm Reichstag are in favour: Sweden wants to spend another 27 billion euros over the next few years, in order to continue to grow strongly. This is a lot of money for the small country. Consciously, this is a signal to Russia – and is also practiced in martial war rhetoric.
