Brianne Jenner Becomes First Player Signed by Hamilton PWHL Team
The veteran forward leaves Ottawa after three seasons and joins the expansion club as its first signed player in a league roster-building phase.
On Friday, PWHL Hamilton signed Brianne Jenner to a three-year contract, making the 35-year-old veteran forward the first player in franchise history.
While Jenner intended to finish her career in Ottawa, the Charge organization decided to move in a different direction after three seasons with the team.
Last season, Jenner was one of the league's highest-paid players at $122,003 and leaves Ottawa as the club's all-time leading scorer with 61 points in 82 games.
Hamilton also signed goaltender Kayle Osborne to a three-year deal; the 24-year-old from Westport, Ont. previously played for the New York Sirens and represented Canada at the Milan Cortina Olympics.
These signings occur during Phase 2 of the roster-distribution process as the PWHL expands from eight teams to 12, with expansion clubs Hamilton, Detroit, Las Vegas, and San Jose signing players before Monday.
